Interesting piece. Some of the backing evidence is a bit sparse, particularly pertaining to the historic developmental background of the US. I agree with the overall message though.

The main point is the Democratic party really needs to stop romanticizing the behavioral tendencies of the opposing Republican Party. Unfortunately, much of this is driven by the media.

If the Democrats continue on this trajectory and the Republican Party eventually decides to develop strong environmental policies, I don’t see a promising future for them.
